Jamaica has produced some really talented comedians and poets. (yours truly included. LOL). Now watch what happens when top Jamaican comedian Blacka Ellis gets in to his own poetry vibe. He is performing a poem entitled “Gateman” which really is a humorous look at an individual who has been given the power to monitor the entrance to a venue. The poem is delivered in patois (Jamaican dialect), and reminds me of the poetry the first lady of Jamaican Poetry, Dr. The Honorable Louise Bennett- Coverly (September 7 1919 - July 26 , 2006)
