Now watch what happens when top Jamaican comedian Blacka Ellis gets in to his own poetry vibe. He is performing a poem entitled “Gateman” which really is a humorous look at an individual who has been given the power to monitor the entrance to a venue. The poem is delivered in patois (Jamaican dialect), and reminds me of the poetry the first lady of Jamaican Poetry, Dr. The Honorable Louise Bennett- Coverly (September 7 1919 - July 26 , 2006)
