Cry Me a River by Duane Francis

I will cry me a river every day,

Until I have a love that will stay.

I’ll cry me a river every night,

And pray for two arms to hold me tight.

I will cry me a river for I’m a lonely man,

Until I have someone loves me for who I am,

I will cry me a river for as long as it takes,

Till I have someone to soothe my heartaches.

This is a love poem, I wrote many years a go. Simple and to the point I would like to think. It was inspired by a song of the same name (”Cry Me a River“) done by the late soul crooner Sam Cooke and written by Arthur Hamilton . Of course I put my twist on it.
