Afrosugar.com- A Sweet Celebration of Black Beauty
In my trekking round the Blogosphere I came up on a great site and I am not just talking the beautiful black women on this site. Way more than that. Can you imagine a site that celebrates the beauty of Black women without being pornographic or remotely resembling the distant cousin of porn? Afrosugar.com has done so and I must say it’s a totally refreshing change.
Sweet Sugar in Bitter times
Afrosugar is exactly what it claims “a timely and overdue tribute to the diverse collective beauty of women of African descent” With so many negative images of our women in entertainment, both lyrics and music videos one has to truly salute the efforts of the Afrosugar Administration for daring to be different.
So whats on the site? Well I don’t want to give it all away here but there are a variety of great photos of black women in so many shapes and sizes and all so gorgeous. I find this to be way more than just showing off beauty but a strong message that we can celebrate beauty without parading women around naked and near naked.
Beautiful in every way
This is not an adult site and Afrosugar has declared total intolerance of suggestive or lewd comments. Nice stance! Even the name of the site got my attention. Afrosugar is all sweet!
