Hurricane Dean - Mash up Di place!!
Hurricane Dean came, ravaged Jamaica and left. I was fortunate, having sustained no damage to house, life or property. Now I suffer with lack of electricity, water and telephone service. Funnily enough none of the utility companies to my knowledge can say exactly when all services will be back. Can I tell you? I am not amused. Every night I have to contend with the heat and no fan plus fight, three million bloodsucking mosquitoes. Oh that reminds me we are due for a general election soon, maybe we might see the government change from one power hungry leader to another. It should be interesting to see how these promise making, vote seeking, mud slinging politicians will use this mishap to gain political mileage.
Hurricane Exercise
It continues to amaze me that in the middle of the hurricane people left their houses to risk life and limb (This risk includes being shot at by the police) to loot stores. I heard the story of one man who was busy packing goods in his store when he heard a voice behind him telling him that he cant carry all that stuff so he may as well share it since there is enough for everyone. At this point the intruder gestured to the six guys behind him.
Sayonara Dean
But I am thankful for the greatest gift there is and that is the gift of life.Anyway GOOD BYE Dean and Good Riddance!!

Duane,
Happy you weren’t blown away:-)
Thinking so many have no house, nowhere to put utilities even if they had access.
Thanks for the update.
