TUFF TUFF TRIANGLE
The do it yourself attitude of Jamaican poets has now gone beyond self-publishing with the formation of the Tuff Tuff Triangle Record Label.
Tuff Tuff Triangle consist of a group of talented Dub Poets who intend to change the perception of the genre.The group intends to revolutionize Jamaican poetry, taking it into mainstream entertainment.
Urban Journey
Having launched their first album as a group, Urban Journey, this chronicles the experiences and expressions of the Jamaican Spoken Word group (Tuff Tuff Triangle). The album offers a unique freshness in this genre. The diversity of the album is evident as each explores there perspective on themes of spirituality, relationships, love, social commentary, culture and self evident truth.
Tuff Tuff Triangle consist of members I-Sense (Anthony “Spirit” Gayle), Akinsanya (Lloyd Palmer), Iyunda (Courtney Robinson), Izemi-Clem (Clement Hamilton) and Blackground (Howard James).
Each with different backgrounds and different initiations into the art form but all sharing the love for poetry; Jamaican Dub Poetry. Urban Journey is definitely a journey you should take. I will give you more info on where you can get the Urban Journey Album soon!
